Tributes Flow for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Remain Under Wraps.

More than two weeks after the tragic deaths of esteemed filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues persist in remembering the duo.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Posting on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, stated he finally felt ready to post publicly about his personal sorrow.

"Enough time has elapsed that I can at last articulate my loss into words," posted Elwes, adding that his initial encounter with Reiner left him smitten. "When we commenced spending more time together I realized this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor posted archival material from the film, adding that he cannot recall "one day without mirth".

"The movie is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Things that Rob held dear. That is part of the many reasons he was the perfect person to helm it," Elwes wrote.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, stating: "Asserting that they were a great team would be an oversimplification. My heart still hurts every time I recall you." He ended with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Fellow Artist

In a different piece, revered director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved being with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was very funny and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the lead role.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked wonderfully with the cast, and he grasped the human predicament of his character," Scorsese noted.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Sealed

This week, a Los Angeles court official agreed to bar the publication of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, at the request from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A legal directive placed a restriction on the cases to limit the public release of "all case details, notes, reports or photos" pertaining to the ongoing investigation.

The relevant authority had previously confirmed their deaths were the outcome of murder, with a official listing listing the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Response and Criticism

Following the killings, public individuals offered varying responses.

Former President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, providing provocative claims that were broadly criticized by several individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his criticism to the detractors last week. Talking on his program, Rogan labeled the remarks as "disappointing" and suggested they revealed a worrisome lack of empathy.

Rogan finished by suggesting that an associate should have acted when the impulse to speak on the tragedy was made.
